How do I apply for a Mountain Hardware and Sports or Truckee Rents Job?

As an employee-owned company, we are always looking for hard-working individuals who love to serve customers and embody our core values.

Can I purchase an item I saw while visiting, now that I am home?

Yes! Please contact us by filling out this form or by calling us at 530.587.4844 and we would be happy to assist you.
Can I special order an item?

Yes. If you don’t find an item at Mountain Hardware and Sports, we can order more than 60,000 items from Ace Hardware. If Ace Hardware doesn’t have it, we have an abundance of sources to find a particular item for you.

Do you offer assembly?

Most items are assembled free of charge. However, some items may incur an assembly fee. Please see store for details.

Do you offer delivery?

For purchases over $100, delivery within the Truckee area (including Northstar) is free. Deliveries outside of Truckee are charged a fee depending on their distance from Truckee. Please see store for more details.

Product Warranties

Many of the items that are sold at MHS have a manufacturer’s warranty. For additional information on the manufacturer’s warranty for a specific product, contact the manufacturer directly or contact us directly for more specific information.

Do you offer parts and repairs?

Truckee Rents is able to provide parts or repairs on many pieces of equipment. If we are unable to get the part you need, we direct you to the manufacturer of an item.

How do I submit a rebate?

When you purchase a product at MHS that offers a rebate, your cashier should give you any applicable rebate form at the time of your purchase.
If you didn’t receive it at time of purchase, rebate forms are also available online through ACE Hardware at
If you have a pending rebate, you can track it online on the Ace Rebate Center. Here you can check the status of your rebate using the rebate tracking number you received via e-mail, or by entering your name and zip code.

What is Ace Rewards?

For every $1.00 you spend at and/or at participating AceHardware retail stores, you’ll earn 10 Reward points. For every 2,500 points you earn (which means for every $250 you spend with us, or participating ACE stores), you’ll receive a $5.00 Reward that can be used at any participating Ace Hardware store.
How Does Ace Rewards Work?

It’s easy! You receive 1000 points just for completing the application. After that, you receive points every time you use your card when making a purchase. For every dollar you spend at MHS, you receive ten points. You receive double points for Ace Red Hot Buys.
For every 2,500 points (which is $250) you accumulate, you’ll receive a $5 Reward Card from Ace. You’ll receive extra reward cards for your birthday, special holidays and exclusive offers.
You also have the opportunity to sign up for the Ace Rewards website, which lets you spend your points online.
How Do I sign-up for Ace Rewards?

There are two ways to sign up for an Ace Rewards Account:
Complete a quick application at any Westlake Hardware store. When you’re finished with the application, a cashier will activate the card with your purchase. This lets you begin to accumulate points immediately.

Sign up online. Once you’ve completed the registration process and received your account number, you can use it on your next purchase.

Are all ACE Stores employee owned?

No, not all ACE stores are employee owned. ACE Corporation is a Co-Op, representing over 5,000 individually owned stores.
MHS, with over 2 locations in Truckee and Blairsden along with Truckee Rents is a 100% employee-owned company (ESOP). We take pride in being your neighbors providing useful services to our communities and keeping our money local.
