Refrain for using any ice melting product on questionable surfaces: Concrete less than one-year old; pre-cast, stamped or pre-stressed concrete; concrete that is weathered, spalled, cracked, shipped or displays otherwise exposed aggregate; brick or stone; pre-cast steps; mortar joints.
Use of Ace Ice Melter exaggerates freezing and thawing cycles.
The resultant stresses may damage sub-standard surfaces.
Such damage may be minimized by sealing surface prior to application and by timely removal of resultant slush.
Not recommended for melting ice on roofs, gutters, downspouts or decks.
